Heart Month!

A wreath made out of various red flowers forming the shape of a heart.

To celebrate February, here are a bunch of different ways to pay attention to your heart and your heart’s needs, whether emotional, physical, or spiritual.

Whether it’s with a partner, spouse, friend, or relative, remember that you can schedule a couples massage. Look! We were even mentioned as a sweet way to spend Valentine’s by VisitErie. You can get some other ideas over there too.

Missy is doing a 60 mile challenge fundraiser for the American Heart Association. You can check out what she’s up to right here and donate if you feel called to — or you could start your own fundraiser!

Moving is also a great way to celebrate your heart. And here are some really easy and free options:

— fun walking to great music right in your own house so you don’t have to go out in icky weather! Here’s 2000 steps in about 15 minutes to Harry Styles (and that creator has a LOT of these).
some simple dancing to the FLASHDANCE soundtrack! Don’t worry about the beginning; that’s just her intro moves.
— if you prefer simpler moves with no music, here’s a great seated cardio that’s only 15 minutes.

And to go a little more over to the woo side of things (and who doesn’t like that?!), here are some great meditations and chants for the heart:

— you could have this playing in the background while you’re working, reading, or even going to sleep.
— here’s a guided meditation by Thich Nhat Hanh.
—and if you like to chant or want to try chanting, here’s one for joy and bliss and another for peace.

And finally, here’s a little something to bring some happiness to your heart right now.
